If you have not done so already, now is the time to remove the excess leaves from the safety cover of your pool. It will make it easier to remove the cover without damage and help keep your pool from getting too dirty before opening. Another good preparatory step is to add some liquid chlorine to the pool and run a portable pump for up to 24 hours. The chlorine will help combat the initial onset of algae as the temperatures begin to rise above 50 degrees.
